In 2001 Rupert Hosking and Eliot Clare established OrthoSolutions. Their goal was to build a company that delivered the best possible service and extraordinary value to customers, without compromising quality standards. Initially Rupert and Eliot focused their efforts on orthopaedic consumables – single use products such as saw blades, burrs, drill bits and K-wires – offered to the market sterile packed and competitively priced.

‘At the time we set up the company our customers were concerned about the risks of possible disease transmission for a number of orthopaedic consumable products. The formula proved a popular one with many orthopaedic centres in the UK.

As the appeal of this offering widened the founders explored the opportunity to extend their approach into other orthopaedic specialty areas. The Foot and Ankle market seemed the logical next step.

‘From our own first hand experience in the Foot and Ankle market, working for the market leading companies, we knew that much of the technology was tried and tested and its functionality could be replicated.  We had witnessed first hand the appeal of sterile packed consumable products and also our competitive prices. More than a decade later the portfolio has expanded significantly and OrthoSolutions now supplies an extensive range of specialist Foot & Ankle products and orthopaedic consumable devices. The majority of which are sterile packed and all are competitively priced.  Rupert and Eliot are still striving to achieve their original goals and believe that there will be even more opportunities to deliver excellent value to customers, across a number of orthopaedic specialties, all around the world.
